Celebz

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I noticed I haven't done any portraits in quite a while so last night I had the urge to draw some celebrities I found interesting. For me, when doing portraits, the feeling of exultation or of utter despair is determined solely on whether or not a likeness is achieved. And having not practiced in months, I had a bit of difficulty. Nonetheless, these were still really fun to do. I definitely plan on doing more of these, and I've got a small list of names I'd like to draw.

Stanley Kubrick

Yoni Wolf

Tilda Swinton

Terry Richardson

Spike Jonze

I think the one of SWINTON is my favorite, because it manages to look both exactly like her and exactly like one of the more androgynous people you draw regularly.

I have to agree. SWINTON for the win! Fantastic, jeremy. (also, she's a really interesting person...SWINTON has 2 men in her life, both painters, and has been in a relationship with both with each other's blessing for 4 years. She has twins with one??)

Hey Jeremy,

Your art is super!
I'm a new blogger here so i will drop by often to send a note.
I think it's amazing how you work with acrylics so smooth. I really have to try that...because i always use oilpaint..

Have a nice 2010!

I just discovered your work through 'lines and colors', luckily enough. I admire not only your technique but also the deeply intriguing atmosphere of your works.

Tilda Swinton has a mistic and a slighty spooky phisical feature that many Hollywood's actors dont have, I m afraid that it gives her some king of outstanding personality and a wierd beauty that weren't cauhgt up in this drawing, but anyway, you got the talent.

Heh, I'm a little late on the commenting here, but I gotta say:

That Kubrick drawing makes me think of Sean Murray every. single. time.
